Welcome to our first digital showcase of our collaboration between the National Gallery Singapore and Tanglin Trust School. Although we have not been able to take a trip to the gallery this year, this has not stopped us from immersing our students in some of the work exhibited there. Over the last two terms we have been exploring works from the permanent collection.

Within this website you will be able to explore the diverse ways that our students have responded to these works.

Year 8 English students have narrated their experiences of the paintings through poems and recitals.

GCSE and IB Music students have selected songs that they feel encapsulate the feeling and mood of selected works.

Year 8 Art and Design students have reinterpreted the paintings visually in connection to their own identity.

You will also find a mesmerising showcase of the gallery’s classical and postmodern architecture by the IB Film studies students.

We hope you enjoy the interpretations the students have accomplished.
